Sail design is a complex science/business/operation and there are many complexities that affect the precise panel layout of the finished sail. When variables such as boat size, aspect ratio of the fore triangle, hull form, sail size and specific purpose for which the sail is designed i.e. general purpose cruising, apparent wind angle, specialist reaching sails/light weather/heavy weather/weight of sailcloth/seam gender/seam type etc etc are taken into account your panel and seam arrangement may not necessarily be precisely as the above layout.
